William Cummins wrote from his home in Edwardsville, Illinois to Elizabeth Cummins in Princeton, Kentucky. He mentioned the death of his brother. Cummins testified that the soil of Illinois was excellent for famring, comparing it to Kentucky and Virginia. He hoped that Thomas Pruit, a blacksmith, would move to Edwardsville.
